Ø  Monitoring the status of women in the Russian Federation: an open grant competition called “The Year 2006: One Thousand Women’s Testimonies and Stories. Proposals for Improving the Status of Women in Russia” was held in partnership with the UN Gender Thematic Group to prepare a joint report on the status of women in the Russian Federation.

Ø  New technologies for attracting resources to support initiatives aimed at protecting women’s rights and interests: the project “Creating a Favorable Environment for the Development of Charity in the Moscow Region” was launched and carried out with the support of the Ministry for the Affairs of Territorial Units of the Government of the Moscow Region.

Ø  The program “Public oversight”:

¨   the inter-regional project “Revealing Effective Mechanisms for Transforming the Pre-School Education System as a New Element of Present-Day Demographic Policy”;

¨   the research “Development of Proposals for Improving Legal, Financial, and Economic Mechanisms for the Full and Timely Payment of Child’s Aliments” at the request of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation.

Ø  The program “Prevention of Alcoholism and Drug Addiction: International Cooperation” was carried out in the SUAL Holding Co. in operating areas.

Ø  The internationaldocumentary film project “Gender Montage: the Paradigms of the Post-Soviet Space”: making a collection of documentary films on problems typically faced by women in the countries that formerly constituted the USSR.

Ø  The international project “Gender Education in the CIS Countries” was carried out in collaboration with the Gender Program of the Swiss Embassy in Uzbekistan and partner organizations from Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan.
